Operations Support Assistant
Contract Period: 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026

Working Hours
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break.
- Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays. Personnel shall still be paid for these days.
- Service is not required during 105 scheduled school holidays (March: 7 days, May/June: 30 days, September: 7 days, November/December: 61 days). Personnel shall not be paid for the scheduled school holidays.
Scope of WorkCookery Room / Kitchen (Main Duties)
- Assist in placing orders for food and ingredients.
- Receive and store food supplies in both kitchens.
- Assist in preparation of ingredients before practical lessons.
- Mop and clean kitchen floors daily to remove oily/greasy stains.
- Set up and sort kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Maintain perishable food supplies and items with expiry dates.
- Ensure general cleanliness of both kitchens to prevent accumulation of dust.
- Clean refrigerators periodically.
- Wash, dry, and store kitchen equipment and utensils used for demonstrations.
- Stow away crockeries and utensils after drying.
- Clean sinks, window ledges, storage shelves, and cupboards periodically.
- Tidy kitchen floors, sinks, and centre tables after each practical lesson.
- Machine wash, dry, fold, and neatly store dish cloths and tea towels.
- Conduct final safety checks (e.g., turning off safety valves) at the end of each day.
- Maintain neat and proper arrangement of utensils in shelves, cupboards, cabinets, and drawers.
Cookery Room / Kitchen Stock-Check Duties
- Replace broken glassware and be responsible for equipment used in Food & Consumer Education (FCE) / Food & Nutrition Science (NFS) lessons.
- Keep a stock-book and breakage record for item replacement.
- Prepare an annual inventory stock-list for stock-taking exercises.
Operations Support Duties
- Assist in cleaning special rooms, cabinets, cupboards, shelves, instruments, and equipment as deployed by the Operations Manager.
- Assist with emergency duties involving movement of resources, tables, chairs, and logistics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administration Manager and School Leaders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Able to read and converse in simple English (equivalent to Primary Six level).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Kitchen Helper, School Cleaner, Hawker’s Assistant, or equivalent.

Pay: Up to $3,000.00 per month
