Role Overview
As an Operations Ticketing Officer, you will support both flight operations and ticketing functions. You will be responsible for coordinating with Ground Handling Agents (GHA), assisting passengers, managing ticketing transactions, and ensuring that all operational and administrative processes run efficiently and in compliance with safety and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Arrival/Departure Operations
- Ensure the boarding gate opens on time and systems are ready before passenger entry.
- Meet arriving aircraft and oversee special handling arrangements.
- Confirm GHA obtains boarding clearance promptly after cabin security checks.
- Oversee passenger and baggage offloading if required.
- Support GHA in managing challenging passenger situations.
- Verify departure documents and ensure accurate crew headcount before cabin door closure.
Ticketing Duties
- Handle ticket sales and manage reservations.
- Provide clear and professional communication with passengers.
- Support daily sales activities.
General Duties
- Monitor queue control and staffing at check-in counters.
- Assist walk-in passengers with general inquiries.
- Coordinate with other stations on flight delays and passenger assistance.
- Provide support for excess baggage transactions when needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in airline operations or ticketing.
- Proficient in CRS systems (preferably Sabre) and POS systems.
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and customer-oriented mindset.
- Good communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Willing to work on shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
