Job Summary :
The Senior Executive, Finance Settlement plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of the company by managing settlements with overseas agents and vendors and to ensures accurate and timely processing of financial documents, reconciliation of accounts, and coordination with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
Job Description:
- Managed financial interactions with overseas agents, including the verification of Statements of Accounts (SOAs) and invoices, with particular attention to high-volume agents to ensure timely and accurate follow-ups.
- Cross-checked vendor names and invoiced amounts against the internal finance system and worked closely with Commercial, Operations, and external agents to resolve any discrepancies or disputes.
- Collaborated with the Detention team to investigate and resolve unbilled or mismatched detention charges recorded by agents.
- Processed approved SOAs in the internal finance system (FileMaker) under AR/AP listings for offsetting, and coordinated with the Finance team for collection follow-ups.
- Reviewed and validated leasing invoices issued by lessors to ensure proper documentation and accounting.
- Accrued agent-related costs as needed for month-end closing and accurate financial reporting.
- Supported urgent invoice processing from the Operations team, approving them through FileMaker and submitting to Finance for payment.
- Assisted in generating import invoices through the FileMaker system when necessary, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
