Our client in financial services is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the evolution of their Investment Operations function. This role requires strong leadership, deep industry expertise, and the ability to design and drive robust processes, strengthen risk management, and ensure seamless integration with third-party vendors and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and refine the scope and role of Investment Operations Management to align with the future operating model.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Investment Operations Lead and SMEs, ensuring clear definition of controls across end-to-end processes, including vendor operations.
- Review and enhance the Operations procedure manual to ensure accurate documentation and institutionalized knowledge.
- Identify key risk areas, recommend mitigations, and design new controls to strengthen processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers, to assess current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) processes, systems, and structures.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, securing formal sign-off of requirement documentation.
- Liaise with service providers to ensure alignment on requirements, capabilities, and solution constraints.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to evaluate solution options and support the completion of solution design documentation.
- Contribute to project management activities, including reporting, risk/issue tracking, change request assessment, and governance.
- Support change management efforts by providing input to enable effective communications.
- Facilitate discussions between service providers and third parties, including custodians and counterparties, to support the future operating model.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the asset management industry in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience across major asset classes and associated analytics.
- In-depth knowledge of derivatives, fixed income, and equity markets.
- Strong understanding of Middle Office and Back Office outsourcing arrangements.
- Experience with BlackRock Aladdin is a distinct advantage.
