Responsibilities:
1. Manage daily post-fixture operations and ensure voyage/vessel perform in accordance with Charter Party (C/P) terms.
2. Manage post fixture voyage administrative task, nominating and appointment of agents when necessary / monitoring of vessel movements / preparation and payment of freight etc.
3. Issuance of Voyage Order in accordance with documentation instructions and preparing of Letter of indemnity / delivery orders to counterparts to ensure timely load/discharge operations
4. Communicate with internal and external counterparts, support, manage and monitor voyage/vessel movements, turn-around efficiently to ensure load/delivery windows of cargo requirements
5. Checking of Bills of lading, loading / discharging documents are issued timely and verifying any discrepancies
6. Supporting Chartering department in pre-fixture negotiations with guidance on port specific restrictions etc.
7. Issuance of fixture, freight and charter-hire notes as necessary and ensure payment is enacted in accordance to C/P terms, updating of shipment records in system and preparation of other reports as required
8. Prepare, verify and negotiate demurrage/post-shipment laytime / claims and disputes calculations for settlement and closure of voyage.
9. Any other ad-hoc activities as and when required
Requirements:
1. Preferably possess Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime/Nautical or related studies
2. Preferably 3-5 years related working experience in logistics/ship-owning/brokering offices
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Good communication skills in Chinese to communicate and liaise with key Chinese speaking Internal/External stakeholders with regards to daily operations including addressing any issues and/or communicating instructions and/or monitoring shipments throughout and carrying out other assigned tasks. )
4. Proficient in MS Office application
5. Sound commercial awareness, knowledge of different charter parties would be an advantage.
6. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
7. Must possess and demonstrate ability to work collaboratively within the team environment
8. Proactive and good problem-solving skills – ability to identify potential issues and propose solution
