Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare and send invoices to customers, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on overdue payments.
General Ledger Entries:
- Record journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Ensure proper coding and classification of expenses, revenues, and other financial transactions.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to cash transactions.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Contribute to the analysis of financial data and trends to support decision-making.
Expense Tracking and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze expenses against budgeted amounts.
- Provide insights into cost-saving opportunities and areas for improved financial management.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and relevant regulations.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
Assistance in Month-End Close:
- Support the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and other tasks as needed.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with team members from various departments to gather financial information and facilitate accurate reporting.
Software and System Usage:
- Utilize accounting software and tools to process transactions and maintain financial records.
- Contribute to the optimization of financial systems and processes.
Ad Hoc Tasks:
Assist in special projects, audits, and process improvements as required.Qualification/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA / ACCA or its equivalents
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
