We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Executive to manage the full cycle of accounts payable processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires strong attention to detail, understanding of inventory-related transactions, and the ability to work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify high-volume vendor invoices, particularly related to raw materials, machinery, and indirect supplies.
- Match invoices against purchase orders (POs), goods received notes (GRNs), and delivery challans.
- Liaise with procurement, stores, and production departments to resolve invoice and PO discrepancies.
- Ensure timely processing of vendor payments in accordance with credit terms and company policies.
- Perform 3-way matching and reconcile supplier statements regularly.
- Assist in managing advance payments and maintain proper documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve queries, disputes, and follow-up on credit notes.
- Support monthly closing activities, including AP aging analysis and accruals.
- Maintain accurate records of all payable transactions in the system.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (e.g., GST, TDS) and audit requirements.
- Understand and has done full sets of accounts
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of 3-way matching and inventory-linked invoicing.
- Familiarity with systems used in manufacturing
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP).
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a plant or factory environment.
- Exposure to international vendors and multi-currency transactions.
- Understanding of cost accounting and production-related financial workflows.
