Position Overview
The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the daily management of activities and services of Cassia (Cantonese Restaurant) to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. The individual will be a driven leader with passion for delivering exceptional experiences, a desire to continue learning and growing in the industry and a talent for inspiring others.
The Role
Restaurant Operations
- Assist in the management of all Food and Beverage operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, food and beverage quality, inventory management, restaurant reservations and occupancy, systems management, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation and monitor cost
- Meet and greet guests and respond to guest inquiries, requests and issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and resolve guest concerns
- Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
Manage Team
- Manage the human resources in the department to attract and retain colleagues
- Identify training needs of the division and implement a training plan in conjunction with the department heads to close gaps
- Support and actively participate in the planning and execution of the hotel's overall staff development and retention efforts
Talent Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory role in service industry
- Ability to communicate with guests and internal stakeholders clearly and pleasantly
- Possess Singapore food safety certification
- Able to work on split shifts
