Role Overview
The Business Development Director will play a pivotal role in driving growth by sourcing, developing, and managing relationships with institutional investors, including venture capital firms, family offices, and other financial institutions in Singapore and Hong Kong. This individual will also be responsible for formulating and executing business development strategies that align with the company’s overall goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and engage institutional clients such as VCs, family offices, and other financial institutions across Singapore and Hong Kong markets
- Develop and implement business development strategies to support company’s growth objectives
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Conduct market research to provide insights into industry trends and to deliver tailored solutions according to investor preferences
- Prepare presentations, pitch materials, and reports for investor meetings and internal reviews
- Utilize digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and content marketing, to engage with prospects and drive conversions
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science or related fields
- Proven experience in business development, investment banking, asset management, or structured products
- Strong understanding of both traditional finance and Web3/ blockchain ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Highly motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and flexibility to travel overseas as required for business meetings and investor engagements
