We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and foster strong client relationships in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong industry knowledge, excellent networking skills, and a proven track record in driving business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and tenders to potential clients.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, project, and commercial) to align business development efforts with operational capabilities.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company visibility.
- Manage and track business development KPIs and report progress to senior management.
- Ensure client satisfaction and follow up on awarded projects for future opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business development within the construction industry.
- Strong network of industry contacts in Singapore / Southeast Asia.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle and procurement processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with public sector and/or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with BCA, LTA, HDB, and other local authorities’ procurement processes.
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., English, Mandarin) a plus.
