Engineering & Business Development Intern

Responsibilities

As an Engineering & Business Development Intern, you will be responsible for designing and presenting customised engineering systems to the company’s prospective clients and ensuring deliverables of the system. You will be contributing to the Engineering team in the following key areas:

Engineering:

• Understand the process of microtunneling and pipe jacking, and its supporting equipment supply scope, such as the automatic bentonite lubrication system, slurry management system, gyro navigation and more.

• Understand customers’ project requirements and assist in designing and proposing suitable systems/solutions.

• Support the engineering team in providing technical information to potential clients.

• Support the engineering team in ensuring all deliverables of the system are achieved during and after setup.

Business Development:

• Source new products that will help to enhance our product offerings and value-add (e.g. chemicals, new equipment or parts for relevant industries).

• Research on relevant engineering systems/solutions across the world and present applicable solutions for construction projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

• Last but not least, we are looking for a self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual who is keen to learn and grow with an SME. Full-time position may be offered at the end of the internship.

Skills & Qualifications

• Students currently pursuing a Degree in Engineering (or related studies).

• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.

• Resourceful, analytical and creative in problem solving.

• Strong engineering and technical knowledge.

• Team player with good leadership and organisational skills.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Able to handle outdoor environment.

• Class 3 driving licence will be useful.
