COMPANY DESCRIPTION
- THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THK MC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THK MC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to assess trainees' readiness for externship and open employment.
- Communicate with trainees to understand their goals and ambitions, assess their strengths and needs.
- Source and arrange for job training and employment opportunities for trainees.
- Conduct site assessment to analyse and evaluate the suitability of the job site.
- Support the Occupational Therapist in providing one-on-one training tailored to the needs of the trainee using tasks analysis of the identified job duties.
- Co-devise, plan and implement job coaching strategies and accommodations needed with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Maintain and develop proper system of administration of client's Individual Care plan (ICP), trainees' records with proper filing of client's medical issues, incidents and development.
- Maintain regular communication with employers to monitor trainee progress at job sites and foster strong, collaborative relationships to ensure successful placement outcomes.
- Develop or adjust effective job coaching and employment plans for trainees whenever needed.
- Advocate for an inclusive work environment.
- Minimum Diploma in any discipline
- Working experience in the F&B & hospitality industry preferred.
- A strong team player with excellent people skills.
- Able to work as a team player but also a self-motivated and independent individual.
- Possess communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess organisational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Respect for diversity.
- Ability to inspire and motivate.
- Ability to take on multiple roles and various responsibilities.
- Experience in working with people with special needs will be a plus.
- Requires traveling to various job sites across Singapore
- Transportation expenses are reimbursable upon claim.
