[What the role is]
You will be part of a team that takes care of lush and vibrant parks to serve the recreational and lifestyle pursuits of our community.[What you will be working on]
Under our City in Nature vision, you will be responsible for the curation of selected parks and park connectors, located in the North East Region, to provide a safe and pleasant experience for park visitors and them closer to nature. Your work will also require keen interest and knowledge in nature and greenery to carry out landscape and infrastructure development/maintenance works. You will also implement a range of activities involving the community, programming, tree-planting events, digitalisation as well as various habitat enhancement projects.
[What we are looking for]
Areas of study in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Science, Landscape Design, Environmental Science, Life Sciences or related discipline
Being an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist or Certified Practicing Horticulturist will be advantageous
Enjoy working outdoors, doing field work and interacting with people
Keen interest in nature, plants, greenery and environmental horticulture
Knowledge in use of GIS software or operational technology will be advantageous
Knowledge in basic tree and plant identification with be advantageous
Able to work both independently and as a team, and multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties, including contract management, feedback management, and enforcement when required
Possess good interpersonal and writing skills
Willing to work after office hours and during weekends and public holidays when required
