Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development & Account Management
- Assist the Head of Sales in driving business development within the assigned market segment.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new projects from shipowners, shipyards, and marine/offshore clients.
- Expand and manage a global customer base, including new and existing clients.
- Conduct regular customer visits and relationship-building activities.
- Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
Customer Engagement & Negotiation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales cycle.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that align with company offerings.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms to secure deals with healthy margins.
- Manage customer expectations and provide post-sale support and value-added services.
Sales Process & Operational Coordination
- Collaborate with operations, subcontractors, and vendors to prepare quotations and assess project feasibility.
- Handle the end-to-end sales process using internal ERP/in-house software, from inquiry to purchase order.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and compliance with client site/vessel entry requirements.
- Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely collections.
Strategic Growth & Reporting
- Provide insights and suggestions to enhance overall sales strategy and market approach.
- Support regional business growth by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
- Prepare and present regular sales status reports and updates to management
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Business or related field.
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the marine or offshore industry.
- Strong understanding of marine industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally for customer visit
