Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead the sales and business development efforts of our marine turbocharger repair services. The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth in the maritime industry, with a focus on ship owners, ship managers, and marine engineering firms. Must be able to travel periodically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and meet company growth targets. - Business Development:
Identify and pursue new clients and market segments, including ship owners, fleet managers, shipyards, and marine engineering companies. - Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers. Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention. - Quoting & Proposals:
Prepare and present competitive quotes, proposals, and service agreements for turbocharger inspection, repair, and overhaul services. - Market Intelligence:
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements. Provide feedback to management to adjust strategies accordingly. - Collaboration with Technical Team:
Work closely with workshop and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and met. - Sales Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts. Provide regular reports to senior management. - Event Participation:
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of sales or customer-facing experience, ideally in the marine, engineering, or industrial service sector.
- Basic knowledge of marine equipment or turbochargers is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Willingness to travel regionally/internationally as required.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business (preferred).
- Salary commensurate with experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Existing network within the maritime industry (ship owners, managers, or OEM representatives).
- Technical background or hands-on knowledge of turbocharger systems.
- Multilingual capabilities, especially in languages common in the marine sector
