We’re partnering with a pioneering tech company developing advanced intelligent machines for real-world applications. As part of their founding engineering team, we’re hiring a Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of complex mechanical components — from concept and prototyping to mass production.
Job Descriptions
- Translate early-stage concepts into production-ready CAD models (plastics, die-cast, sheet metal, composites).
- Drive prototyping efforts with CNC, 3D printing, and in-house fit checks.
- Perform FEA, tolerance analysis, and kinematic simulations to validate design integrity.
- Create detailed 2D engineering drawings with GD&T and inspection specifications.
- Lead DFM with contract manufacturers and tooling vendors to optimize cost and quality.
- Collaborate with electrical and firmware teams to ensure integrated, manufacturable designs.
- Define test plans, evaluate mechanical reliability, and iterate based on validation results.
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years in mechanical design for complex hardware systems (consumer electronics, robotics, or automation preferred).
- Proficient in CATIA (V5/V6) or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Strong foundation in injection molding, die-casting, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Hands-on with prototyping tools and validation testing.
- Experience in FEA, GD&T, and creating detailed production drawings.
- Excellent communicator and cross-functional team player.
Good to have:
- Python scripting for design automation or data analysis.
- MATLAB for system modeling or tolerance analysis.
- Background in robotics or wearable systems with tight mechanical constraints.
- Deep knowledge of plastic materials, shrinkage, and performance tuning.
