We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team and healthcare staff in the ward. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the Nursing Department, maintaining high standards of patient care, and fostering a safe, supportive, and professional working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursing team to deliver quality patient care.
- Attend case management rounds and family conferences to ensure patients’ needs are met, resolve issues, and address feedback.
- Perform on-call duties as required.
- Conduct staff performance appraisals, provide guidance, and counsel staff when necessary.
- Compile and report monthly incident and infection statistics.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and efficient ward environment.
- Ensure staff discipline, punctuality, attendance, and adherence to organizational code of conduct.
- Conduct monthly ward meetings and facilitate communication within the team.
- Participate in staff meetings, training courses, and evaluation sessions.
- Support volunteering initiatives and carry out other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Head of Department.
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing recognized by the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB), or Post Basic Qualification.
- Registered Nurse with SNB.
- Preferably at least 5 years of nursing experience in an inpatient ward within a hospital or nursing home, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Prior experience in an acute or community hospital is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and public relations skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
