We Offer
The Oceania Fulfillment Lead is part of the Ocean Fulfillment team and plays a key role in ensuring we fulfil our delivery promise to customers. The candidate will work with stakeholders in Singapore, Oceania and Copenhagen to bridge commercial pursuits with operational efficiency, thereby achieving first-rate customer experience, process excellence and cost efficiency.
The Asia Pacific Ocean Customer Logistics function offers exposure to all activities related to marine operation, capacity, and cargo management within the region and an opportunity to make an impact to customer outcomes via close collaboration with the commercial functions.
In this position, the candidate will be working with Oceania terminals, and have an opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge in the following areas:
- Gain understanding of operations, commercial and yield drivers
- Improve analytical skills and participating in decision making to optimize service results
- Learn the dynamics of Oceania trade which is one of key trades in the Asia Pacific Region
- Stakeholder management and leadership
- Change management and transformation
- Exposure to and interaction with multi-cultural stakeholders across Asia Pacific and in Headquarters in Denmark
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfil customer promise as per bookings placed through space optimisation and vessel schedule management
- Liaise with product analyst, trade, and marketing team to steer cargo to achieve maximum revenue on available capacity
- Liaise with berth planner, vessel Captains, fleet management and chartering team to ensure smooth vessel operations and adherence to vessel pro forma schedule
- Seek to achieve high utilisation across all services through forecast management and downfall analysis.
- Plan for seasonality changes with stowage planners and commercial team
- Support execution of empty flow plan through close collaboration with equipment team
- Reduce waste such as additional bunker cost, re-nominations and longstanding at ports through timely planning and execution.
- Coordinate contingencies with Oceania stakeholders in case of operational constraints to maintain vessel schedule integrity
- Participate in creation and maintenance of contingency handbooks to facilitate daily decision-making process.
- Contribute with ideas to improve processes within the team and across departments.
- Analyse service performance and represent capacity with inputs for services improvement.
- Manage the Vessel Sharing Agreement regionally through collaboration with partners
- Ensure efficient bunker consumption on network
- Liaise with port agents and authorities to manage vessel operations
Who we are looking for
- The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree from a reputable education facility with a minimum of 2 years working experience. Any operations experience, particularly in the shipping industry will be a significant advantage.
