As a Payroll Executive , you will be the custodian of one of the most important parts of our colleague experience — ensuring that every team member is paid accurately, on time, and with care. Your role goes beyond processing numbers; it’s about safeguarding trust, compliance, and transparency in every transaction.
You will partner closely with our Assistant Financial Controller, department heads, and colleagues across the hotel to manage payroll, benefits, tax submissions, and manpower reporting. By keeping our systems accurate and processes smooth, you enable our teams to focus on what matters most — delivering incredible guest experiences.

Your Day to Day
PEOPLE
- Support an engaged and collaborative working environment by ensuring all colleagues are paid accurately and on time, reinforcing trust across the hotel.
- Provide clear guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on payroll matters, ensuring policies and procedures are well-communicated.
- Act as a reliable partner to colleagues by promptly addressing payroll-related queries and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Share knowledge and train backup payroll support to ensure continuity of service and capability within the department.
FINANCIAL
- Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, including overtime, terminations, adjustments, and leave entitlements.
- Ensure all payroll-related records, deductions (e.g., CPF, housing loans, tax, superannuation), and reconciliations are accurate and compliant with statutory requirements.
- Oversee daily banking processes, including collection, counting, balancing, and preparation of the General Cashier’s Summary.
- Manage petty cash disbursements and reimbursements, ensuring reconciliation and reporting are completed promptly.
- Prepare monthly and yearly manpower analysis reports and ensure payroll accruals are accurate and aligned with financial deadlines.
COLLEAGUE EXPERIENCE
- Take ownership of ensuring every colleague receives accurate and transparent payslips, building confidence in the hotel’s commitment to its people.
- Provide timely responses to payroll and leave entitlement enquiries, demonstrating care and accountability in all colleague interactions.
- Collaborate with Department Heads and Finance to ensure overtime, benefits, and entitlements are properly approved and documented.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive payroll information, ensuring trust and integrity at all times.
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
- Ensure full compliance with local statutory requirements, including CPF Board, IRAS submissions, and other regulatory authorities.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll processing procedures, aligning with audit requirements and internal controls.
- Support the Finance team in ensuring timely tax submissions, provident fund payments, and compliance with all hotel and company policies.
- Uphold IHG’s Winning Ways and commitment to ethical business practices, ensuring fairness, integrity, and accuracy in payroll operations.
ACCOUNTABILITY
As Payroll Executive, you are the keeper of the hotel’s payroll and cash handling processes. You hold accountability for ensuring colleagues are compensated accurately, statutory obligations are met, and financial records remain compliant and transparent. Your role directly impacts colleague trust, financial stewardship, and the overall success of the Finance team. You will be supported by the Assistant Financial Controller and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellence across all payroll functions.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
- Experience in payroll processing with knowledge of CPF, IRAS and local statutory requirements.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with payroll/HRIS systems.
- Meticulous, accurate, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong integrity in handling confidential data, with good communication and teamwork skills.
