Production and Operations Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on individual to join our team as a Production & Operations Assistant. This entry-level role provides structured training and the chance to gain practical experience in both production and operations. You will be exposed to key surface treatment processes while supporting the daily workflow on the shopfloor and in operations.

What You’ll Learn and Do

Production Operations (Practical Exposure):

• Understand various surface treatment processes such as anodising, electroless nickel plating, passivation and chromate conversion coating
• Support day-to-day activities on the production floor, including preparation of parts and monitoring job progress
• Carry out basic incoming and outgoing quality checks to ensure product standards are met
• Help maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment

Operations & Planning Support:

• Receive and verify incoming job orders and prepare parts for processing
• Assist in job tracking, updating status and coordinating deliveries
• Prepare delivery documents and treatment certificates for outgoing shipments
• Support internal coordination and progressively learn customer communication for order updates
• Learn to interpret basic technical drawings and specifications (training will be provided)

Who We’re Looking For

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• Willing to be hands-on and work both on the shopfloor and in an office setting
• Comfortable working in a non-air-conditioned industrial environment and in a standing role for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail, organised and willing to learn
• Positive team player with good communication skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings is an advantage
