Regional Account Manager (Freight Forwarding / Japan MNC / East)

Job Summary

The role will acts as key contact for clients in SEA & Ocenia. This role focuses on building strong relationships, keeping clients engaged, and growing business opportunities. It combines strategy, account management, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts in customer organizations (e.g., sourcing, supply chain, and project teams).
• Understand customer supply chain needs and identify how logistics services (air, sea, 3PL, etc.) can help.
• Work with regional and country sales leaders to plan and implement growth strategies.
• Connect with decision-makers to strengthen partnerships at the regional level.
• Oversee multiple key global accounts in the region, ensuring business goals are met.
• Achieve sales and volume targets.
• Lead local account teams to ensure smooth coordination.
• Keep detailed customer profiles, including target shipping volumes by trade lane.
• Update the CRM system with key account activities and insights.
• Help manage contracts like MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs with the Global Account Manager.
• Take the lead in customer meetings, RFQs, and new business rollouts (e.g., SOPs, training, and reporting).
• Work with local Key Account Managers to create custom solutions that meet customer expectations on cost, quality, and added value.
• Help local teams solve major service issues, claims, KPI problems, or payment delays.
• Support profitability by sharing financial data with account teams.
Promote innovation and work closely with both internal teams and customers as business partners.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience in account management, including 5 years in regional roles within the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills, especially in regional markets
• Proven track record in creating and executing business growth strategies
• Skilled in budgeting and managing financials
