About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with approximately 5 years of relevant experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and supporting compliance and audit requirements in Singapore. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full sets of accounts, including GL, AR, AP, and fixed assets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements (e.g., GST, corporate tax, annual filing with ACRA/IRAS).
- Support annual audit process and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members.
- Partner with business units on finance-related matters and provide insights for decision-making.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA Singapore preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience (audit firm or commercial experience in Singapore is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of Singapore statutory requirements (SFRS, GST, corporate tax).
- Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous with high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
