Location: Jurong Port
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations at Jurong Port. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the port site, handling purchasing activities, managing transportation logistics, coordinating deliveries, monitoring equipment and machinery conditions, and providing operational support to the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise the daily work of the site team, including truck drivers, wheel loader/excavator operators, and general workers.
- Ensure strict adherence to site safety, security, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Work closely with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders to promptly address any site or operational concerns.
- Monitor and report on site progress, team productivity, and any incidents or safety issues to management.
- Oversee stock levels to ensure sufficient goods are available for delivery and coordinate timely restocking when necessary.
- Coordinate with internal and external truck teams to guarantee prompt and accurate delivery of goods.
- Monitor and assess the condition of trucks and equipment, arranging for timely repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Conduct inspections on board Mother vessels and barges to verify goods and support port-related operations.
- Collaborate with all personnel involved in vessel and barge shipments to ensure smooth incoming and outgoing cargo handling.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar site coordination or supervisory role within the construction, transport, or logistics industries.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Sound knowledge of site safety, security, and environmental practices.
- Excellent team player with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable working outdoors and flexible to work variable hours based on shipment schedules.
- Valid Class 3 driving license preferred. Having own transport is an advantage but not required.
- Required to be on standby in the event of urgent operational matters.
