Role Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical, business-savvy Strategic Planning Manager to support the leadership team in driving long-term growth, operational excellence, and strategic transformation across Japfa’s portfolio. This role will be pivotal in shaping corporate and business unit strategies, evaluating new market opportunities, and providing insights to key stakeholders including the CEO, Board, and shareholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead the annual strategic planning cycle and 3- to 5-year business plans in coordination with business units across animal protein, feed, and branded consumer products.
- Align cross-functional teams on strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Prepare strategic updates and board-level presentations.
2. Business Analysis & Market Intelligence
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into market trends, competitor benchmarks, consumer insights, and internal performance data.
- Track macroeconomic and regulatory shifts in Indonesia and emerging Asia that impact Japfa’s portfolio.
3. Project Management & Transformation Initiatives
- Manage cross-functional initiatives (e.g. digitalization, sustainability, operational efficiency, new business models).
- Support execution of strategic priorities, acting as a PMO or workstream lead where needed.
4. Mergers, Acquisitions, and Partnerships
- Identify and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities, particularly in seafood, value-added products, and adjacent categories.
- Perform financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and integration planning.
5. Stakeholder Communication
- Translate complex insights into clear, compelling recommendations for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate alignment between corporate, country teams, and brand-level functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Agriculture, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 5–10 years’ experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or investment banking.
- Familiarity with the food, agribusiness, or FMCG sectors in Southeast Asia is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels.
