As an Assistant Manager , you will support the Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth execution of departmental functions. You will also be responsible for supervising a small team, coordinating cross-functional tasks, and contributing to strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising day-to-day operations.
- Lead and motivate a small team to achieve departmental KPIs and targets.
- Prepare reports, track performance metrics, and propose process improvements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
- Support the development and implementation of policies, SOPs, and best practices.
- Handle escalated issues and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
- Manage budget tracking, resource allocation, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff to enhance team capability.
- Stand in for the Manager during his/her absence when required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience , with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); industry-specific software knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards is an advantage.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are beneficial for stakeholder engagement.
