The Assistant Vice President (AVP) / Vice President (AVP) - Technical role will work together with the Head of Technical to manage the Avation PLC fleet of aircraft, and will include the following job functions:
- Track aircraft usage and utilisation, and update the technical data and information into Avation PLC's lease management system (Sparta)
- Review technical records for major airframe checks, engine overhaul, landing gear restoration, and component shop visits, and assess/highlight issues of non-compliance in addition to anything that may affect the value of the aircraft
- Manage new aircraft deliveries, aircraft lease transitions and lease returns
- Manage the fleet audit program, and perform aircraft mid-lease audits as necessary
- Manage modification programs for the aircraft as necessary
- Assist with the review and assessment of second-hand aircraft that Avation PLC will look at purchasing
- Liaise with the airlines, OEMs, MROs, technical consultants on a variety of technical matters
- Review the technical aspects of aircraft lease agreements, and provide comments to the rest of the team
- Analyse, model and track the value of the aircraft with respect to the maintenance cycle of the airframe and its major components
- Assist with the review of maintenance reserve claim
The candidate should ideally have the following qualities:
- Engineering Degree with at least 5 years in the aircraft leasing industry or at least 10 years in the Aviation industry, preferably with an Airline, MRO or OEM
- Be familiar with airline operations and aircraft maintenance
- Be familiar with the lease management system (ie, Sparta)
- Have some experience in a commercial environment
- Proficient with using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Be able to travel, as required, and occasionally on short notice
