The Role:
Blackstone is seeking an Assistant Vice President in the Business Finance team based in the Singapore Office. Reporting to the Head of Business Finance for Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong, the candidate will be responsible for working closely with the Real Estate, Private Equity and Tactical Opportunities Groups’ acquisition, asset management, finance and other support teams on deal execution, reporting, and financial operations and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with acquisition, asset management, treasury teams, banking partners and advisors on managing all FX and interest rate hedging related matters for the Asia real estate Funds
- Work closely with the transaction finance team on deal execution support, deal onboarding, and post-closing deal management
- Work closely with various teams across Asia and New York on funding coordination (line of credit, capital call, distributions)
- Responsible for regional coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tasks such as quarterly cash analysis and NAV reporting
- Responsible for the regional coordination of treasury operations management, delegation of authority, cash management Ah hoc tasks, analyses and projects as and when required
Skills:
- Chartered Accountant with 7-12 years of experience, ideally including time in a Big Four accounting firm or financial institution.
- Experience in the funds, asset management or private equity industries highly regarded
- Regional Asia-Pacific experience (China, India, Korea, Australia, Korea, Singapore, Japan) is ideal
- Effective communication across various functions and offices globally and hence possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills in verbal and written English is a must
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with fast and exact data processing skills
- Highly professional/institutional and self-motivated and able to effectively work as an individual contributor and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and able to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
- A desire to work in an international team environment requiring global coordination between offices, often under pressure and with multiple stakeholders
- Quick learner with the ability to quickly turnaround ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced environment
- Must operate with the highest level of integrity
- Overseas working experiences is a plus
- Fluency in English and Chinese/2nd Asian language is preferred
