Site Execution & Oversight
- Supervise mechanical, structural, or piping works carried out by contractors or internal teams on the topside platform under construction
- Review and interpret construction drawings, work packs, and schedules to guide field execution.
Workforce & Productivity Management
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical workers, providing clear instructions, monitoring progress, and ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor daily performance and productivity, taking corrective actions where needed.
Progress Tracking & Reporting
- Conduct daily walkdowns, progress tracking, and work verification.
- Submit daily reports including workforce data, progress achieved, issues encountered, and look-ahead planning.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Ensure all field activities follow yard safety policies and regulations.
- Lead toolbox talks, JSA reviews, and incident prevention campaigns.
Education
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Structural, Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
Specialized knowledge /experience
- Familiarity with Platform construction, piping systems, and fabrication workflow in yards.
- Ability to read and implement construction drawings, and method statements.
- Understanding of flange management, hydrotesting sequences, and mechanical completion principles.
Accreditation / certification
- Safety-related training such as Work at Height, Hot Work.
- Familiarity with PTW systems and basic HSE induction training.
