RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS).
- Partnership & engagement efforts co-ordination
- To spearhead and establish partnerships through outreach initiatives and events to grow awareness of SCIS technology offerings.
- To plan, work out and maintain the budgeting for partnership & engagement.
- To prepare for and attend important partnership and engagement meetings with Associate Dean (Partnerships & Engagement) to facilitate discussions:
- Prepare and collect relevant information.
- Prepare presentation deck for all meetings with potential partners.
- Prepare presentation deck for all meetings with current partners on potential projects& events.
- Take notes and independently follow-up items for the meeting.
- Follow up with emails & action schedule after meetings with SCIS community & external parties.
- To engage with and coordinate external partners for various SCIS events, e.g. SCIS Industry Day, SMU & SCIS alumni events, seminars etc.
- To create and maintain information hub showcasing SCIS partnerships & engagements for easy interactions internally & externally.
- To plan and execute client relationship management with important SCIS partners from both public and private sectors.
- ICT Trade shows, SCIS Industry Day & Research Seminars with Partner Universities
- To champion & coordinate SCIS' participation in ICT trade shows, conferences etc.
- To spearhead and lead the organization of these events.
- To liaise with SCIS admin team for logistics and arrangements.
- New centre(s) setting up
- To work with OA to engage individuals and companies for potential contribution.
- To work out operation budgeting for the projects and center(s).
- To help faculty to coordinate with ORe and industrial partners to secure research agreement.
- To follow up with ceremonial events for research partnerships and engagement.
- SCIS Alumni Connect
- To work with SMU OAR to plan, cultivate & establish links with SCIS alumni.
- To work with faculty and program heads to coordinate alumni engagement.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree with min 5 years of working experience.
- Good analytical, administration and organization skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Spreadsheet.
- Able to take initiative and work in a team.
- Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proactive and resourceful in gathering information
- Good writing, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in industrial partnership and engagement will be an advantage.
