Position Objective and Summary
- The Sales and Business Development Manager plays a critical role in expanding the company’s market presence in the hazardous and toxic waste management sector.
- This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering customized solutions that meet both client needs and regulatory standards. A strong understanding of environmental services, market trends, and compliance requirements is essential to drive sustainable revenue growth and long-term customer relationships.
Main Tasks / Activities / Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share in hazardous/toxic waste management services.
- Identify and approach potential clients in industrial, marine, and commercial sectors.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, tenders, and service agreements in line with client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with operations and technical teams to align service capabilities with client expectations.
- Keep up to date with environmental regulations (e.g. NEA, IMO, Basel Convention) and ensure all proposed solutions are compliant.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
- Monitor sales performance, forecast revenue, and provide regular reports to management.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Continuously gather market intelligence and competitor insights.
- Any other ad-hod jobs assigned.
Job Requirements (Education, Certifications, Experience, Soft Skills)
- Degree/Diploma in Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in Toxic waste, environmental services, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of toxic and hazardous waste handling, treatment, and disposal solutions.
- Knowledge of local and international environmental compliance requirements.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing client portfolios.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and proposal writing.
