Introduction:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Senior Section Manager for APAC HR Shared Services (HRSS). This critical role is responsible for leading a regional team, driving operational excellence and executing the HR digital transformation roadmap across the APAC region. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a passion for process improvement, team development, and using technology to create a world-class employee experience. You will be a key partner to HR and business leaders, ensuring the seamless delivery of HR services that enable our company to thrive.
Your Job:
Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing, cross-cultural team of HRSS professionals located in Singapore and India. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Transformation: Identify and lead strategic initiatives to optimize the HR service delivery model. Drive projects focused on centralizing operational work, enhancing efficiency, and scaling services to support business growth.
Operational Excellence : Oversee all hire-to-retire processes for the APAC region, including onboarding, employee data management, payroll inputs, immigration and offboarding. Monitor established SLAs and KPIs to ensure service quality and compliance.
Digital Roadmap Execution: Champion the continuous improvement of our HR technology stack, particularly Workday and ServiceNow. Lead projects to automate manual processes, enhance self-service capabilities and improve data integrity.
M&A and Special Projects: Act as the HRSS lead for key business initiatives in APAC, including M&A activities. Oversee due diligence, data integration and change management to ensure seamless employee and system transitions.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with HRBPs, COE leads (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, L&D) and business leaders. Act as a trusted advisor on all HR operational matters.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all HRSS processes and policies are compliant with local labor laws and regulations across all APAC countries. Oversee internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, RBA).
Budget Management: Manage the departmental budget, including forecasting, resource allocation and vendor management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or HR. Other degree with relevant experience can be considered.
Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in HR Operations, Shared Services work preferably in a manufacturing environment and minimum 3 years of managing a team of more than 10 people.
Proven experience in a people management role, with a track record of leading and developing successful teams, preferably in a regional or global context.
Demonstrated experience with a major HRIS platform (e.g., Workday).
Strong project management skills with experience leading process improvement or HR transformation initiatives.
Excellent communication, influencing and senior stakeholder management skills.
Responsible and accountable for complying with and implementing environmental, health, safety and security (EHSS) system, policies, procedures and guidelines that are applicable to your scope of work, thereby maintaining a healthy and safe workplace.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the semiconductor, manufacturing, or a similar fast-paced, high-tech industry.
Direct, hands-on experience with ServiceNow for HR Service Delivery.
Proven experience supporting M&A integrations from an HR operational perspective.
IHRP-CP/SP or other relevant professional HR certification.
Experience managing departmental budgets and financial forecasting.
