About the role
Cash Converters Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in our office located in the Tai Seng North-East Region. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's financial reporting and compliance requirements. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for full set accounts closing including AR, AP, GL, Taxation and GST reporting
- Prepare month-end financial and management reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Ensure all accounting records are properly prepared and documented for audit purpose
- Liaise with auditor on annual audit and financial schedules
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, processes and procedures
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the financial accounting team and provide guidance
What we're looking for
- Degree in Accounting or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or CA)
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in retail industry
- Candidate with hands-on experience in MS Navision system an added advantage
- Well-versed in accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
