Job Description
- Provide pro-active support to the business units assigned. This would include review, analyse and provide recommendation on each revenue stream, project profitability and optimisation of costs.
- Handle month end and year-end closing including intercompany reconciliations.
- Provide comprehensive actual financial performance vs. budget variance and trend analysis of financials with insightful commentaries on a monthly basis.
- Compute key financial indicators and measures to optimise the financial decision-making by Business Units.
- Preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecast for the Business Units.
- Provide advisory to Business Units on tax implications and potential tax exposure for existing projects and new business opportunities.
- Manage the financial and statutory accounting for entities assigned.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting on a monthly basis.
- Handle statutory audit, which includes preparation of financial statements as well as liaise with external auditors.
- Handle tax matters which would include the quarterly GST filing as well as corporate tax.
- Identify weak internal controls and propose mitigating measures to strengthen these areas.
- Liaise with internal & external auditors.
- Ad-hoc duties assigned and this may include review of policies and continual process re-engineering.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience gained in Big 4 Audit Firms preferred
- Knowledge of SAP S4 Hana is an advantage
- Experience in applying POCM for construction, engineering, or project-based industries (preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
- Meticulous and able to work independently
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different divisions
- Strong business acumen, detail-oriented and hands-on
