Role Overview – Junior Sous Chef
As a Junior Sous Chef , you will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in leading the kitchen team. You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality Italian-inspired dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and fostering a collaborative kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and ingredient selection .
- Prepare and cook Italian dishes, ensuring top-tier presentation and taste.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, offering guidance and feedback.
- Oversee kitchen operations during shifts, maintaining efficiency and quality.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and support ordering/stock control. Handle special requests or concerns with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef , ideally in Italian cuisine.
- Culinary training or certifications (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Italian cooking techniques & food safety.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative, passionate about food, and detail-oriented. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
